Israeli water production and management was born long before the term CleanTech was ever used and long before it was seen is Israel next economic break-through.

It was born as a result of acute necessity. Israel is a small country, 60% of which is desert and very limited natural water resources. With rapid population and industrial growth water supply was a major national issue with the inception of Israel as a state and it has often been a  source of major political problems, both internal and external.
